His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) is recruiting Prison Officers for HMP Highpoint in Reach, England, United Kingdom. This is a varied, high-energy role where you will help safeguard the public while supporting people in custody to turn their lives around.
The position offers a salary of £35,746 to £40,003.
What the job involves
As a prison officer, no two days will look the same. Depending on the situation, you may need to act as a calm presence, provide guidance, or support learning and rehabilitation. The role is centred on working directly with prisoners in a secure environment while helping maintain safety for staff, offenders, and the wider public.
You will be expected to build constructive, respectful, and professional relationships with offenders, including people who may be going through extremely difficult times.

You will need to work rotating shifts and weekends.
