Role Overview

We seek a Principal Solution Consultant focusing on Financial Consolidation & Reporting within our presales team. This pivotal, customer-facing role demands deep expertise in statutory and management consolidations, alongside strong capabilities in storytelling and technical financial modeling. Successful candidates will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to champion Anaplan’s FCR offerings, aiding clients in upgrading legacy consolidation methods for accelerated, more precise financial closures and disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to engage enterprise prospects and clients, diagnosing challenges in consolidation, financial close, and reporting workflows.
• Lead discovery sessions to identify issues related to statutory consolidations, intercompany eliminations, disclosures, and group reporting structures.
• Craft and deliver tailored solution demonstrations for Financial Consolidation & Analysis use cases.
• Develop and showcase Proof of Concepts to highlight Anaplan's consolidation and reconciliation strengths.
• Communicate complex finance and technical concepts in clear, business-relevant terms for senior finance leaders including CFOs.
• Support sales strategies by articulating value propositions and competitively positioning against legacy tools like Hyperion, SAP BPC, OneStream, and others.
• Work closely with Product and Go-To-Market teams to refine messaging and relay customer feedback.
• Provide mentorship and enablement to colleagues on FCA domain knowledge and solution articulation.
• Keep abreast of current accounting regulations (IFRS, GAAP) and evolving industry practices in financial consolidation.

Candidate Profile

• Over 10 years of experience in presales, consulting, or implementation specializing in financial consolidation or financial close solutions.
• Strong understanding of statutory and management consolidations, financial closing, reporting procedures, intercompany eliminations, multi-entity structures, and disclosure management.
• Proficient with consolidation platforms such as Hyperion, SAP BPC, OneStream, Tagetik, or Cognos Controller.
• Solid grasp of accounting standards including IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAPs.
• Experience in financial, multidimensional modeling, and analytics capabilities.
• Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles and influence various stakeholders effectively.
• Quick adaptability to new technologies and environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Credentials such as CA, CFA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience with cloud-based Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) or planning platforms.
• Exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions is advantageous.
• Background in Asia markets or global consolidation environments preferred.
