About the Role
Join the Queensland Government Insurance Fund (QGIF) team within Queensland Treasury to spearhead a transformative digital and business program. As the Principal Project Officer, you will oversee and drive the execution of essential initiatives outlined in the QGIF 3-Year Data and Technology Roadmap. This strategic plan aims to modernize insurance operations, enhance data analytics capabilities, streamline claims management processes, and implement productivity enhancements.
The Roadmap seeks to minimize manual processes, foster data-driven decisions, and improve risk management information across QGIF, Treasury, partnering agencies, and the broader Queensland community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the planning and implementation of multiple roadmap projects and work packages.
- Manage risks, resolve issues, maintain dependencies, and oversee governance related to project execution.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, governance materials, and procurement paperwork to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Collaborate with business units, technical experts, and vendors to synchronize actions and deliverables.
- Establish and nurture strong stakeholder relationships to support smooth, cooperative project delivery.
- Drive activities involving business analysis, practical implementation, and realization of anticipated benefits.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects or programs, preferably with a focus on data or technology implementations.
- Strong organizational and project coordination prowess, capable of handling multiple competing priorities efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing reports and documentation for executive and governance audiences.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and influence across diverse technical and business environments.
- Experience supporting governance, procurement, change management, or large-scale transformation projects, especially those involving enterprise systems.
Qualifications and Additional Information
There are no mandatory qualification requirements for this position; however, relevant experience or credentials in project management, business analysis, information technology, digital delivery, public sector governance, or related fields are favorable.
