About the Role and Team

Join the Capital, Accommodation and Explosive Reserves (CAER) team within Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) to take a central role in delivering accommodation, facilities, capital asset, and infrastructure services. This multifaceted position encompasses leadership of strategic projects, stakeholder relationship management, and contributions to asset and accommodation management, while also supporting building and fleet administration, procurement, and infrastructure initiatives essential to government services in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accommodation, facilities, security, mail, and parking services across RSHQ locations.
  • Oversee building maintenance, fit-outs, relocations, and other property services.
  • Administer the RSHQ vehicle fleet and capital asset portfolio.
  • Lead strategic initiatives concerning capital assets, accommodation, and state planning.
  • Coordinate significant capital projects related to RSHQ operations, accommodation, and explosive reserves.
  • Prepare and implement emergency response, business continuity, and major event coordination.
  • Deliver procurement services linked to accommodation and explosive reserve functions.
  • Support management of Queensland's explosive reserves, including leasing and site operations.
  • Handle property valuations, insurance, and various corporate asset responsibilities.

About You

This role requires a highly organized, results-oriented project professional with extensive experience in facilities or accommodation project environments. Key attributes include strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities, proficiency in handling multiple priorities, expertise in procurement and contract management, financial oversight, and excellent skills in communication, analysis, and problem-solving. Candidates should be adept at fostering collaboration and delivering customer-focused, practical improvements with innovative service enhancements.
