About the Role
Join Crypto.com's Product Management team, a group that spearheads product ideation through delivery, impacting global users worldwide. This role focuses on managing the crucial transition of users from identity verification to becoming active traders on the Crypto.com Exchange platform. You will oversee this transition comprehensively, spanning identity verification, re-verification, deposit and withdrawal processes, initial trading activation, and onboarding rewards. Success in this responsibility directly influences trading volume, user retention, and company revenue as the platform scales across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the identity verification (KYC) platform, including multi-vendor identity verification infrastructure.
- Optimize KYC provider routing to enhance pass rates, reduce fraud, and manage verification costs as key financial metrics.
- Develop a self-serve configuration system enabling other product teams to set ID verification parameters independently.
- Create modular IDV components (document collection, liveness detection, facial matching, motion analysis) adaptable across product contexts.
- Collaborate with risk and vendor partners to implement fraud prevention strategies like liveness challenges and AI-based scoring.
- Maintain a balance to minimize false positives while defending against fraud effectively.
- Evaluate and plan for innovative verification methods without documents or reusable identity solutions to improve user onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with regional KYC variations, delivering seamless user experiences across jurisdictions.
- Manage re-verification processes for existing users triggered by compliance or document expiration, aiming for low disruption and high completion rates.
- Handle the deposit and withdrawal journeys for both fiat and cryptocurrency, including managing available payment methods, user eligibility, and transaction limits per market.
- Oversee new payment method integrations from evaluation to launch, maintaining transparency in fees and exchange rates.
- Drive the activation pipeline from first deposit to first trade and subsequent trading milestones, removing barriers to active trading.
- Own onboarding incentives such as KYC completion rewards, deposit bonuses, and first-trade cashback in collaboration with campaigns teams.
- Support localization efforts by tailoring payment methods to regional preferences and expanding market coverage strategically.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to expedite delivery and promote AI-native practices within the product squad.
Requirements
- 6 to 8+ years of experience in product management with a focus on fintech, crypto exchanges, or related fields.
- Direct involvement in ownership and resolution of challenges in identity verification, payment rails, deposit conversion, or compliance-centric products.
- Technical expertise in payment gateways, ledger systems, API integrations, multi-vendor IDV routing, and composable IDV components.
- Experience managing APIs, SDKs, and developer tools as products, not only as consumers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of global KYC and AML regulations, including FATF standards, SCA, GDPR, and payment regulations.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical product features, advocating for user-friendly experiences.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Mixpanel, or Amplitude to guide trade-offs between conversion, risk, and cost.
- Experience with AI-driven workflows and tools, implementing human-in-the-loop methodologies effectively.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead cross-functional teams, influence regulatory stakeholders, and drive product enhancements in dynamic environments.
