Role overview
As a member of the Global Investment Attraction team, you will help bring in and support inward investment initiatives that contribute to economic expansion and the creation of jobs. The position suits someone who enjoys a busy, varied environment where their work has visible impact.

About Global Investment Attraction
Global Investment Attraction (GIA) works with TIQ’s overseas and regional offices, international investors, and local businesses to progress significant productive inward investment projects. Through this activity, the team supports new employment, technology transfer, and stronger foreign investment flows into Queensland.
The unit partners with a broad range of stakeholders, including private companies, professional services organisations, financial institutions, and government bodies at local, state, federal, and international levels to secure new overseas investment opportunities and projects for Queensland.
Key duties
- Partner with the Director to deliver strong commercial investment outcomes.
- Oversee a client portfolio and keep it active so KPI goals are achieved and future opportunities are built.
- Work with TIQ’s overseas and Queensland-based teams to shape and deliver investment opportunities.
- Drive innovative initiatives for priority sectors that align with the Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy and TIQ/Queensland Government priorities.
- Maintain accurate project records in TIQ’s client relationship management system and provide regular business performance updates to senior leaders.
- Assist the Director with delivery outcomes and contribute to planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with a wide mix of stakeholders across cultures and across private and public sector organisations.
- Represent TIQ on interdepartmental and industry committees, and take part in government and business forums.
- Help maintain a positive team environment and act in ways that reflect TIQ’s values.
