About the Role

Join a rapidly expanding international engineering consultancy recognized for delivering some of the world's most sophisticated data centre and mission-critical infrastructure across the Middle East, Europe, and North America. We are seeking a Principal Architect dedicated to leading design and coordination efforts for high-profile infrastructure projects tailored to data centre environments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural design and development efforts for mission-critical data centre projects.
  • Create, coordinate, and maintain architectural drawings, technical specifications, and documentation.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams including MEP engineers, structural experts, civil engineers, and BIM specialists.
  • Ensure all designs meet the relevant codes, regulations, and client expectations.
  • Conduct design reviews, facilitate coordination meetings, and lead stakeholder workshops.
  • Oversee material selection, technical evaluations, and architectural submission processes.
  • Perform site visits and construction inspections to verify design integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute actively to value engineering and design optimization initiatives.
  • Manage project execution spanning multiple phases from initial concept through to construction.
  • Mentor and support junior architects and team members where necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in architecture and design consultancy.
  • Specific experience in Data Centre or mission-critical infrastructure design.
  • Background working with large-scale infrastructure or technology-focused developments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes, life safety standards, and international data centre design guidelines.
  • Proficient in BIM-based project delivery and experienced with software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, BIM workflows, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary, international and cross-country design teams.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced project environments.
