Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a Registered Dietitian to join a community health center in Kennewick, Washington. In this role, you will help patients improve their nutrition and manage health conditions through individualized counseling and practical care plans.
Core duties
- Conduct one-on-one nutrition evaluations and provide counseling for patients managing diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and food allergies.
- Apply motivational interviewing techniques to build nutrition plans that are personalized and respectful of cultural needs.
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated education and patient support.
- Guide students, contribute to training resources, and assist clinic staff with clinical education.
- Participate in community outreach efforts, connect patients with local resources, and keep records accurate and up to date.
Compensation and benefits
This position is 1.0 FTE and pays $32.76 to $48.23 per hour. A $5,000 bonus is offered, along with benefits such as health coverage, retirement support, paid time off, and loan repayment options.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a master’s degree in dietetics, have an RD credential, and be certified in Washington State. Bilingual ability is preferred.
