Job description

Role Overview

This position entails providing expert medical physics services, including calibration of imaging and therapeutic devices, innovating treatment approaches, and aiding in treatment planning along with device manufacturing. The role requires validation of treatment plans, performing acceptance testing, commissioning, and continuous quality assurance of linear accelerators and related physics systems to uphold safety and precision in compliance with regulatory standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate treatment planning and procedural implementation.
  • Supervise quality control processes to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Prepare detailed documentation of all physics services provided.
  • Engage in initiatives related to performance enhancement and safety protocols.
  • Promote a collaborative team atmosphere and fulfill assigned objectives diligently.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of ABR certification in Radiation Oncology with a minimum of two years' experience in a cancer treatment center.
  • Master's degree or its equivalent in medical physics; candidates eligible for ABR certification are also considered.
  • Proficient computer skills particularly related to the role.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment; ABR eligibility is favored.
