Role overview

This role is centered on driving prestige-category sales by helping guests choose the right products across color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance. The position combines sales support, guest engagement, service demonstrations, and store upkeep in a high-energy beauty retail environment. It also supports the Sales Manager by contributing to sales performance, guest experience, team culture, and operational compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Help the store reach or exceed targets for retail sales, service sales, guest loyalty, credit, shrink control, and omni-channel performance, with emphasis on prestige and iconic brands.
• Deliver an excellent guest experience by welcoming shoppers, identifying their needs, suggesting suitable products or services, and sharing current promotions, events, and in-store offerings.
• Process sales transactions, refunds, and exchanges in a courteous manner.
• Perform makeup applications, skin analysis, and product demos to support selling and guest engagement.
• Schedule and assist with services and in-store events that enhance the customer experience and support brand sales goals.
• Stay current on industry trends, new launches, and product benefits during work hours so guests receive informed guidance.
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Support an inclusive workplace that respects teammates, peers, and guests.
• Work closely with managers and store associates to help grow the business.
• Take part in ongoing training for prestige and iconic brands, along with category education and professional development.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code requirements.
• Keep prestige and iconic brand areas stocked, labeled, faced, and compliant with hygiene standards, including tester maintenance.
• Maintain strong store standards in sales areas, restrooms, cash wrap, back room, break room, and makeover stations.
• Assist with resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory counts, and shipment processing using company systems and best practices.
• Promote the loyalty program, credit offerings, and mobile app when appropriate.
• Safeguard company assets by following loss prevention practices and delivering strong service.
• Handle other operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is preferred.
• A cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator license may be required depending on state law.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and related experience, is preferred.
• Strong interest in prestige beauty products, customer service, and selling.
• Ability to build lasting customer relationships.
• Comfort working both independently and with a team.
• Clear communication skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to attend company meetings and conferences, including overnight travel when needed.

Working conditions

• Frequent movement around the store during shifts.
• Regular standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting.
• Continuous lifting or moving of up to 10 lbs during a shift.
• Continuous handling and coordination of objects during work hours.
