Beauty Advisor

Ulta Beauty is looking for a beauty-focused team member who can create a welcoming, engaging shopping experience and help guests discover products and services that fit their needs. Role Summary

The Beauty Advisor supports store performance by delivering excellent guest service, handling cashier duties, keeping product displays stocked and organized, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. Success in this role depends on enthusiasm for beauty, confidence in customer interaction, and the ability to explain products, ingredients, and benefits clearly.

Key Duties

• Help drive store results by supporting retail and service sales, loyalty sign-ups and credit goals, omni-channel sales, and shrink reduction.
• Welcome guests, learn what they are looking for, tailor service to their needs, answer product and service questions, and suggest relevant add-on items.
• Handle customer service issues, sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and support for online orders in a professional manner.
• Carry out makeup applications, skin assessments, and product demos to improve the guest experience and support sales.
• Schedule appointments and assist with services and in-store events that contribute to guest satisfaction and sales targets.
• Stay current on new and existing products and services, including ingredients and key benefits, so guests receive informed recommendations.
• Maintain reliable and punctual attendance.
• Foster an inclusive workplace that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
• Promote the loyalty program, credit offerings, and the Ulta Beauty app when appropriate.
• Work closely with store managers and associates to support business growth.
• Take part in ongoing training, including brand and category learning, to build skills and improve sales performance.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code requirements.
• Keep assigned areas stocked, signed, faced, and equipped with testers.
• Maintain a clean and organized store, including the sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, stockroom, and break area.
• Support resets, planograms, marketing and advertising displays, inventory activities, and shipment processing using company tools and best practices.
• Protect company property by using loss prevention practices and providing strong guest service.
• Complete other operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A high school diploma is preferred. The ideal candidate has around one year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. This position also calls for flexible availability across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

The job involves continuous movement throughout the store and frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting. It also requires regular lifting, carrying, or moving of items up to 25 lbs. during the shift, along with constant handling and coordination of objects.
