Job description

Company Overview

Our client is an expanding, founder-led enterprise operating in the premium travel and lifestyle sector. As it embarks on the next growth phase, they seek a President of Sales & Go-To-Market (GTM) to develop a top-tier commercial team and strategy. This leadership role offers a unique chance to shape the sales framework at a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution.

Role Summary

The President of Sales & GTM will assume comprehensive executive responsibility for the sales group and GTM approach, directing all Account Executives and emerging sales management. Responsibilities include designing sales strategies, forecasting, revenue operations, enablement, recruitment, coaching, compensation schemes, CRM adherence, and pipeline analytics. This position is suited for a proactive, hands-on leader eager to establish foundational sales operations rather than manage an already established team. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, this role is part of the executive leadership ensemble and collaborates closely with leadership on broader market strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the entire sales force.
  • Establish a high-achievement culture grounded in accountability.
  • Recruit, onboard, and cultivate exceptional sales talent.
  • Develop emerging sales managers and team leads.
  • Collaborate with CEO and leadership to formulate and implement GTM strategies.
  • Convert company growth ambitions into repeatable, scalable commercial processes.
  • Continuously adapt sales strategies to evolving market conditions.
  • Manage forecasting accuracy and build executive dashboards on KPIs.
  • Enhance pipeline transparency and maintain rigorous sales review cycles.
  • Standardize sales operations with regular pipeline reviews, forecasts, quarterly business reviews, and performance appraisals.
  • Maintain CRM integrity and data accuracy across the sales team.
  • Create sales onboarding and continuous training programs from the ground up.
  • Develop consistent sales methodologies and qualification criteria.
  • Produce comprehensive sales playbooks covering each stage of the sales cycle.
  • Refine sales communication skills including objection handling and negotiation techniques.
  • Boost sales productivity and quota attainment metrics.
  • Increase conversion ratios throughout the sales funnel.
  • Promote a disciplined, proactive sales culture within the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize sales processes and efficiency.
  • Design compensation and career advancement frameworks for Account Executives.
  • Implement systematic performance management techniques.
  • Architect a scalable organizational structure to support growth beyond current staffing levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 7 to 10+ years of progressive leadership in sales, preferably in high-growth or venture-backed settings.
  • Experience managing teams of 15 to 20+ quota-carrying Account Executives.
  • Proven success in scaling a sales organization during significant revenue expansion phases.
  • Demonstrated ability to build sales infrastructure including forecasting, enablement, coaching frameworks, and compensation plans from scratch.
  • Background in SaaS, technology, or other rapidly expanding digital industries.
  • Strong executive presence with analytical and financial expertise.
  • Adept at working directly with founders in fast-moving entrepreneurial environments.
  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset capable of thriving amid change.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.
  • Preferred:
  • Prior experience within founder-led or venture-backed companies during periods of rapid scaling.
  • Familiarity with contemporary Revenue Operations tools and AI-powered sales technologies.
  • Exposure to premium, luxury, or high-net-worth client segments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary ranging from $175,000 to $225,000 USD.
  • Quarterly variable incentives aligned with team and revenue goals, presenting an attractive OTE.
  • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Paid leave entitlements.
  • Relocation support available.
  • Chance to lead and grow a dynamic business during its expansion phase.
