Preservation Specialist - Offshore (WHTs, Subsea Cable & Piping, B/Fs)

Role overview

An offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Preservation Specialist to support the protection and upkeep of critical offshore assets, including WHTs, subsea cables, piping, and bridge frames.

What you will do

• Prepare and roll out preservation plans and procedures that match project needs for offshore structures and related equipment.
• Safeguard materials and equipment throughout fabrication, load-out, transport, and offshore installation stages.
• Carry out scheduled inspections, audits, and condition checks to confirm preservation remains effective and to flag any corrective work.
• Work closely with construction, completion, and commissioning teams so preservation controls stay intact until handover.
• Keep detailed preservation logs, checklists, and reports so traceability is maintained and client requirements are met.
• Follow HSE expectations and recognized industry practices, and respond quickly to any preservation-related deviations or non-conformances.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• At least 15 years of experience in oil and gas, with substantial offshore exposure, is expected.
• Offshore safety certifications such as BOSIET and HUET are commonly needed.
• Prior PMC project experience is preferred.
• Experience on ADNOC projects in a similar position will be an advantage.
