Presales Consultant - Business Applications

Job Overview

We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Presales Solution Consultant to strengthen our Application Development & Modernization division. The role demands a trusted advisor who can bring expertise in custom software development, legacy system modernization, cloud-native application design, mobile apps, and low-code/no-code solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire presales cycle including discovery, solution architecture, technical presentations, proposal drafting, and collaborations with delivery and sales teams.
• Support government and enterprise client opportunities by defining and communicating value propositions for tailored application development that supports digital transformation objectives.
• Collaborate closely with sales to qualify and develop opportunities focused on custom application and modernization services.
• Interact with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, identify challenges, and assess transformation needs.
• Develop high-level solution designs and technical proposals following best practices covering architecture, scalability, and performance.
• Lead technical discussions, conduct solution demonstrations, architecture walkthroughs, and create proof of concepts (PoCs).
• Respond to technical parts of RFIs, RFPs, and compliance matrices; prepare customized proposals and value statements.
• Draft and review Statements of Work (SoWs) and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) related to custom application and modernization projects.
• Contribute to bid strategies, pricing input, proposal development, and coordinate with partners when needed.
• Stay well-informed on industry trends, new tools, and delivery frameworks such as microservices, DevOps, CI/CD, API-first design, cloud-native architectures, AI, and low-code platforms like Microsoft Power Platform.
• Assist with go-to-market planning, sales playbook creation, and enablement initiatives for application development portfolios.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in technical presales, solution consulting or architecture, ideally within system integrators or enterprise service providers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Proven expertise in custom application design and project execution, working with frameworks such as Java, .NET, or Python.
• Hands-on knowledge or experience with low-code platforms and cloud-native applications on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Optional but advantageous: practical experience implementing data and AI solutions including Microsoft Azure Data & AI, Copilot, OpenAI technologies.
• Background in legacy system modernization including approaches like system refactoring, containerization, and API enablement.
• Good understanding of enterprise integration patterns, workflow automation, and security principles in application design contexts.
• Ability to prepare technical presentations, architectural diagrams, proof of concept environments, and comprehensive proposal documents.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, DevOps, and multi-tier application architecture.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic, written and oral.
