What the role involves
The overnight Deli Clerk/Salad Bar team member is expected to complete the duties of the position carefully, efficiently, and on time. The job centers on delivering strong customer service, building customer loyalty, meeting shopper needs, and helping create an engaged environment for both customers and staff.
Key duties
- Follow food safety rules, standard operating procedures, health and safety requirements, and all company policies and programs.
- Assist customers and respond to their deli-related needs.
- Keep the work area tidy, organized, and ready for use.
- Prepare and process customer deli orders.
- Support product display, merchandising, and program execution.
- Handle and prepare deli items.
- Help drive sales by promoting featured products.
- Train and support junior team members.
- Order and receive stock as needed, following inventory control procedures.
- Track and process department shrink.
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace in line with company standards.
- Take on other assigned tasks as needed.
