Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on dishwashing and keeping the kitchen area clean, organized, and sanitary. Team Members are expected to uphold a positive company image through courteous, efficient service and to follow store and team standard operating procedures at all times. The role also requires flexibility to take on related tasks from other Team Member roles when needed and to support company values, initiatives, and all health, safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other small kitchen items.
- Keep floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelving in the kitchen area clean.
- Help receive kitchen deliveries and handle storage, organization, and product rotation properly.
- Arrive on time, present yourself appropriately, and be ready to work all scheduled shifts, trainings, and meetings.
- Deliver friendly and timely customer service, including answering phones and pages politely and supporting suggestive selling when appropriate.
- Support sales by following proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and displaying products.
- Follow all established procedures related to weights and measures, sanitation, health standards, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work and shopping environment and care for equipment according to company cleanliness and safety expectations.
- Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing tasks as assigned, including checking sign and pricing accuracy.
- Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
- Carry out other duties assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

- No previous retail experience is required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend 6 to 8 hours of an 8-hour workday standing or walking. The job also involves frequent hand use, including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling, as well as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Team Members may be exposed to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and to cold, refrigerated, and hot temperature environments. Work may involve wet and dry conditions, a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, and the use of tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, other heavy machinery, and possibly ladders.

Pay and Benefits
The hourly pay range for this position is CAD 18.50 to CAD 25.00, based on experience. Full-time and part-time Team Members may be eligible for Whole Benefits, which can include a store discount, paid time off, financial wellness support, health and wellness programs, and additional Team Member perks. Benefit eligibility is determined under the applicable plan on the date of hire and may vary by location, length of service, and job type.
