Job description
Role Overview
Siemens Healthineers is looking for a Pre-Sales Software Planner to support the Sales and Project Management functions within the APJ CPO Software Planning team. The role focuses on pre-project planning support, technical coordination, and customer-facing discussions for healthcare IT environments.
What You Will Do
- Handle standard planning requests on your own by following established software planning workflows, tools, and templates, with limited supervision.
- Lead and facilitate infrastructure discussions that may involve clinical, IT, CIO-level, and hospital executive stakeholders.
- Carry out independent quote quality checks, review customer expectations in detail, and coordinate follow-up with the Sales team.
- Build early-stage client confidence by consistently delivering strong outputs and setting realistic expectations before a project begins.
- Ensure that responses, escalations, and solutions are aligned with regulatory, quality, safety, and contractual requirements while remaining cost-effective.
- Support high-visibility accounts and projects, including Luminary, Strategic, Complex, and similarly important customers.
- Take on additional responsibilities assigned by the Direct Manager as needed.
Required Background
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with 3 to 5 years of experience working with software solutions in multi-vendor healthcare IT environments.
- Solid understanding of network architecture, security systems, software control systems, and server administration.
- Experience creating system topology diagrams in Visio to present a customer’s technical setup clearly.
- Hands-on exposure to planning, overseeing, and resolving software and IT infrastructure deployments, especially in healthcare settings.
- Prior work with cloud implementations and virtualized server platforms is an advantage.
- Oncology service-line experience, especially with Varian products, is highly desirable.
- PMP certification and telecommunications experience are preferred.
- Strong spoken and written communication abilities, along with a customer-focused approach.
- Comfortable leading remote conference calls in a professional and effective manner.
- Skilled in Outlook, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements
- Working hours may vary depending on hospital schedules, and you should be open to weekend work or hours outside the standard business day.
- You must represent Varian with professionalism, confidence, and strong belief in the company and its products.
- Ability to collaborate across Varian teams to support cooperation and issue resolution.
- Willingness to travel within and outside APJ when required.
- Willingness to attend training for several weeks outside APJ if needed.
