About the role
Siemens Healthineers is looking for an Education Business Development Manager to help shape the future of healthcare by developing and rolling out educational solutions that address capacity shortages in the healthcare system. The role is especially relevant to radiographers, radiologists, laboratory specialists, and biomedical engineers.
You will be part of a global environment that encourages growth, fresh thinking, and collaboration across borders. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and is onsite.
Work arrangement
This role offers flexibility, with mobile working possible in Germany for up to 60% of working time on average, subject to agreement with the manager. In addition, mobile work from abroad may be possible for up to 30 days per year in selected countries and under specific conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the global Government Affairs team to assess staffing and training gaps in target countries and support country leadership and partner networks with capacity-building tender activities.
- Own the tender process for capacity-building initiatives, manage the flow of information between Siemens Healthineers, health ministries, and NGOs, and monitor bid progress while keeping terms aligned with business goals.
- Help design capacity-building solutions by combining Siemens Healthineers’ offerings with those of local partners, especially around defined clinical areas and workflows.
- Coordinate projects through every stage, including planning, tracking, execution, and evaluation.
- Maintain the quality of content used in capacity-building initiatives and nurture relationships with business partners.
Qualifications and experience
- A university degree in medicine, business administration, or engineering is required, preferably with a focus on health economics or medical technology.
- You should have extensive professional experience in developing education and training programs, ideally within healthcare provider settings.
- Background in tendering and bid management within healthcare is needed.
- Strong project management ability across multiple internal and external stakeholders is essential.
- Familiarity with clinical workflows and hospital operations is expected.
Skills and attributes
- Business-level English for negotiations is required; additional language skills relevant to the region are an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities are important.
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly in English, and ideally in another regional language, both verbally and in writing.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to build trust and support collaborative success.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed, approximately 15%.
