Job description

About ASOS

ASOS is a global fashion e-commerce brand built for people who want to express themselves freely. The company aims to give customers confidence in who they are, while also encouraging employees to bring their authentic selves to work. ASOS says it values creativity and provides a platform that reaches millions of people.

ASOS is also a Disability Confident Committed employer and invites candidates to let the Talent team know if they need any reasonable adjustments during the hiring process.

Role overview

ASOS is hiring a PR Executive for a 12-month fixed-term contract to manage the press element of its campaigns. The role focuses on developing and sustaining strong relationships with fashion and lifestyle media, as well as editorial stylists, and converting brand moments into high-impact coverage. You will work with internal teams to secure product stories and placements that put ASOS in the right places at the right time, while ensuring the coverage is relevant, credible and aligned to the brand.

The position requires a strong understanding of the media environment, the ability to spot the right angle for each story, and the confidence to represent ASOS well in external conversations. The ideal candidate is organised, well connected, creative and genuinely interested in fashion, culture and lifestyle media.

Working arrangement

This is an onsite role in London, England, United Kingdom. The role requires at least three days each week in the office, and more time on-site may occasionally be needed.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in fashion, lifestyle or retail public relations, with evidence of securing strong media coverage.
  • An active and established network across fashion and lifestyle journalists, editors and stylists.
  • Good judgement on what makes a story relevant and the most effective outlet or format for it.
  • The ability to shape campaigns and product stories into press activity that feels timely, culturally aware and true to brand.
  • Excellent organisation and the capacity to handle several priorities at once without losing pace.
  • Strong communication skills for both internal collaboration and external media interaction.
  • Sharp news sense and a natural instinct for angles that can stand out.
  • Strong personal interest in fashion, culture and the wider media landscape.
  • Experience supporting an inclusive workplace culture and contributing to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts.

Perks and benefits

  • Staff discount on ASOS products.
  • Access to employee sample sales.
  • 25 days of paid annual leave, plus an additional celebration day for a special occasion.
  • Private medical insurance coverage.
  • A fixed annual payment on top of salary each year.
  • Opportunities for tailored learning and practical development experiences to help you grow in the role.

Additional information

ASOS notes that working together in person helps the team move faster, collaborate more closely and make decisions more quickly. The company says this approach also supports learning, creativity and career growth. To learn more about the culture, ASOS suggests exploring its social channels under the hashtag #InsideASOS.
