About the Role

PR Consulting is a brand strategy and public relations agency focused on shaping clear, authentic stories for companies and individuals across multiple channels. The firm is hiring an Assistant for its Fashion team to support strategic communications planning and programming for clients in the fashion, culture, and retail spaces.

The position is based in New York and reports to the department managers. Work is primarily in person from Monday through Thursday in the New York City office, with remote work on Fridays.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a dependable support member for several fashion brands and help ensure strong overall client delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across all levels, from interns to partners, on both day-to-day tasks and larger strategic needs while working with directors and managers.
  • Oversee sample trafficking, including logistics and handling press requests.
  • Keep sample-request and seeding records organized and up to date.
  • Prepare and maintain digital assets used for press outreach and pitching.
  • Track press mentions and distribute coverage to the team.
  • Create and deliver client reports such as weekly updates, monthly reports, seeding summaries, special project recaps, and event recaps.
  • Help build influencer target lists for press-related campaigns.
  • Maintain and refresh media lists.
  • Support event planning, logistical coordination, and on-site execution.

Requirements

  • Prior internship experience is required; this role is intended as an entry-level position.
  • Comfort using Adobe Photoshop and either Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive).
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to work fast, stay organized, prioritize, and juggle multiple tasks.
  • A strong work ethic, initiative, and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Global perspective and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Sharp attention to detail and an analytical way of thinking.
  • Understanding of influencers and how to identify suitable brand targets.
  • Highly driven, positive, and able to manage relationships upward and downward with professionalism.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $42,000 to $49,000 per year.

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time role with a hybrid schedule: in office Monday through Thursday and remote on Fridays.
