Role overview

This position is with a locally owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart store in Stony Plain, Alberta. The main focus is to deliver fast, reliable customer service at the retail postal counter while keeping the customer experience central to every task.

What you will do

• Deliver courteous, helpful service and interact positively with every customer.
• Keep the checkout and service area tidy, organized, and ready for use.
• Welcome customers with a friendly attitude and professional presence.
• Scan items or enter product details accurately at the register.
• Handle cash, coupons, lottery transactions, and PC Optimum activity with accuracy.
• Ask customers for their PC Optimum card during each transaction.
• Complete required paperwork related to customer receipts and returned goods.
• Maintain merchandising standards in assigned areas, including facing, signing, and labeling.
• Follow loss prevention procedures and safeguard cash, lottery, and stamp inventory.
• Present a professional image that matches uniform and dress code standards.
• Follow health and safety rules, store policies, and operational procedures.
• Keep housekeeping and store presentation standards at the expected level.
• Carry out other duties as needed.
