Project work

Depending on the assignment, contributors may be asked to complete finance-focused evaluation tasks such as:

  • Building and reviewing quarterly business review scenarios, including performance versus benchmark, allocation drift against IPS tolerance limits, and meaningful changes in fund documents.
  • Creating test cases for rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting, covering cost basis, short-term and long-term capital gains, and wash-sale rule handling.
  • Developing suitability-check scenarios around risk tolerance, investment horizon, restricted holdings, and concentration thresholds under a client Investment Policy Statement.
  • Preparing fee-stack analyses that compare portfolio-weighted expense ratios, advisory charges, and total all-in costs against category benchmarks.
  • Writing test cases with clear calculations, policy references, and accurate final answers.

Profile sought

This opportunity is best suited to professionals from investment management, financial advisory, or similar financial services backgrounds who are comfortable with part-time, non-permanent project work.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline, along with at least 2 years of experience in finance, investment, accounting, or financial services. Recent or current work in advisory, portfolio management, or a related area is preferred.

Practical familiarity with portfolio performance review, tax-lot accounting, wash-sale rules, and Investment Policy Statement concepts is important. Professional credentials such as CFA, CFP, CPWA, CIMA, or CIPM are viewed positively.

Strong written English at C1 level or above is required.
