Portfolio Manager - Farmer Finance

About the Role

The Portfolio Manager for Farmer Finance will focus on managing the agricultural loan portfolio to maintain high-quality standards by ensuring timely interest payments, renewal, review, and enhancement of customer credit limits. The role demands retention of valuable clients and exit of less performing ones while cross-promoting relevant agri-products.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the agricultural loan portfolio to maintain its health by managing interest collections, churning, and renewal processes.
• Retain existing customers with good credit history and improve their credit limits where appropriate.
• Exit customers whose credit performance is below standards.
• Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities to increase customer engagement with agricultural products.
• Generate new-to-bank leads from the current customer base.
• Collaborate closely with Credit, Operations, and Product teams to manage portfolio enhancement, retention, and customer exit strategies.
• Build a cooperative work environment among credit officers, relationship managers, and operations staff.
• Develop strong customer relationships by anticipating and addressing their future needs.
• Provide strategic financial solutions to help clients build a strong and effective portfolio.

Educational Qualifications

• Graduation required; preferably in Agriculture or related fields.
• Postgraduate qualifications also favored in Agriculture.
• Professional certifications such as CA, CFA, or ICWA are considered advantageous.
