Key Responsibilities

• Apply polishing paints and coatings to various hotel surfaces, including floors, walls, and furnishings, to maintain a polished look.
• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, or buffing to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
• Choose suitable polishing materials depending on the surface type, expected usage, and desired appearance.
• Operate equipment like brushes, rollers, sprayers, and polishing machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform even and precise application of polishing materials to deliver smooth and consistent finishes.
• Comply with manufacturers' instructions and safety protocols during handling and application processes.
• Inspect completed surfaces closely, retouching any defects or inconsistencies.
• Work alongside the engineering team to coordinate and prioritize polishing tasks and schedules.
• Keep the work area tidy and organize materials properly, including safe storage and disposal.
• Observe health and safety standards when working with chemicals and equipment.
• Communicate project statuses and challenges effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
• Continuously update knowledge of new polishing methods, materials, and tools to improve performance.

Supportive Duties

• Advise on the selection of materials to achieve optimal polishing outcomes.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate project timelines.

Certifications

• Painting and Decorating Certificate
• Manufacturer Training Certification
• Certification in Hazardous Materials Handling
• CPR and/or First Aid Training is beneficial
