Overview

A renowned global technology firm, in collaboration with Adecco, is recruiting for a Policy Specialist in Trust & Safety on a renewable 12-month contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact team dedicated to crafting and enforcing product policies that foster user trust and safety across international platforms. The position operates under a hybrid work model—three days onsite and two days remote—based in Singapore at Mapletree Business City, Pasir Panjang, aligned with standard Singapore business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, rollout, and upkeep of global product policies taking into account regional regulations, local cultural nuances, and community standards.
  • Develop and enforce uniform product policy standards across diverse product segments.
  • Partner with internal teams and external providers to refine and evolve the policy framework continually.
  • Handle policy-related investigations, respond to user inquiries, and manage real-world investigation requests efficiently.
  • Autonomously handle and resolve complex, cross-product policy escalations that have a significant impact.
  • Spot emerging policy risks, analyze implications for users and business, and suggest effective policy interventions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Legal, Trust & Safety, and Operations teams to launch new initiatives enhancing user trust.
  • Perform strategic analysis of the enforcement process to identify areas for improving human review and overall policy effectiveness.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend improvements to policy quality, operational efficiencies, and enforcement methodologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert guiding long-term policy vision and strategic execution across multiple domains.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of five years professional experience in Policy, Trust & Safety, Legal, Technology, or an allied field.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi, both spoken and written, to handle complex communications including investigations and escalations involving Hindi-speaking stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in policy formulation, implementation, and governance within tech or online platform environments.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing sensitive investigations and complex policy escalations individually.
  • Strong competency in data analytics and modeling to support evidence-based policy decisions.
  • Keen ability to identify and execute operational improvements to enhance policy enforcement.
  • Exceptional analytical and logical reasoning abilities coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and persuasive skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and online community norms.
  • Capacity to excel under pressure in a global, fast-paced setting while juggling multiple tasks.
  • Experience in crisis management and Trust & Safety operations is a distinct advantage.
