Role Mission

The Guest Booker for "The Diary Of A CEO" podcast undertakes a comprehensive approach to find, research, pitch, and secure top-tier guests. This role ensures every guest contributes to impactful, culturally relevant, and insightful conversations. The position requires combining cultural insight, editorial judgment, and data-driven research to identify emerging influencers, thinkers, and prominent figures aligned with the podcast's themes. The Guest Booker will also aid in crafting creative storytelling ideas that challenge traditional podcast formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track YouTube, social media, and cultural trends to discover emerging voices and valuable guest prospects.
  • Analyze audience search and social trends to guide guest selection and maintain episode relevance.
  • Conduct detailed research into potential guests’ expertise and backgrounds, highlighting unique episode angles.
  • Stay informed on industry and cultural developments to find new opportunities and voices.
  • Manage the full guest booking cycle, liaising with guests, agents, and publicists to secure quality conversations.
  • Collaborate with research teams to develop storytelling elements, such as props and visuals, that enhance episodes.
  • Handle administrative duties including release form management and guest documentation as required.
  • Evaluate and suggest improvements for the guest booking process and overall experience.
  • Identify episodes that could benefit from in-depth, documentary-style research exploring complex or underrepresented topics.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Research to find experts and contributors who add depth to storytelling.
  • Conduct outreach to potential collaborators who can offer additional insights into subject matter.
  • Assist in creating workflows to efficiently deliver research-intensive episodes alongside standard production.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with high-profile guests and their teams.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret social, cultural, and audience data to guide guest strategy.
  • Enthusiasm for YouTube, digital platforms, AI tools, and innovative research methods.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking capabilities, managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to attend recordings outside regular working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Dedication to maintaining organized systems, tools, and workflows to optimize research and booking efficiency.
  • A passion for facilitating remarkable conversations and delivering excellent experiences for guests and listeners.

Additional Information

Location: Los Angeles, USA
Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000 per year
Reporting to the Director of Guests and Research
