Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Group Planning Manager, the Planner will play a critical role in managing construction schedules and coordinating project planning on large scale projects.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a third-level qualification in Construction.
  • Have between 2 to 5 years of experience in planning for large construction projects.
  • Skilled in Primavera P6 software.
  • Experience using Asta Powerproject and MS Project.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the overall Project Construction Programme.
  • Develop and update short term, area-specific, and trade-related programmes.
  • Incorporate procurement and information schedules into the main project programme.
  • Compile weekly detailed progress reports for the Contracts Manager and client.
  • Develop and implement techniques for effective progress monitoring.
  • Load project construction programmes with manpower and costs.
  • Track and report on Earned Value, including preparing progress S-Curves for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Integrate subcontractor and supplier schedules into the Project Construction Team's overall plan.
  • Monitor and report on subcontractor and supplier progress including design approval and off-site production.
  • Coordinate and update the Design Programme alongside the Design Manager.
  • Participate in client, subcontractor, supplier, and Lean Planner/Pull Programming meetings as necessary.
  • Compare original versus actual schedule progress, preparing as-built programmes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent planning approaches and accurate reporting and execution.
