Role Overview

We invite you to join us as a Planner, where you will be instrumental in organizing and scheduling maintenance operations that ensure our facilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. Collaborating closely with maintenance, engineering, and operational teams, your responsibilities will include devising comprehensive work plans, maintaining asset data within SAP, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance. The dynamic nature of this role means you will handle varied tasks ranging from planning major shutdowns to addressing urgent maintenance issues maintaining smooth mill operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed maintenance plans and schedules that support safe and uninterrupted operations.
  • Manage and refine maintenance strategies, maintain accurate equipment records, and update master data in SAP.
  • Coordinate manpower, resources, materials, and contractors to complete tasks within defined timelines and scope.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operational personnel to set priorities and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Track maintenance outcomes and identify areas to boost reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure all planning adheres to company policies, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Candidate Profile

We seek a highly organized and proactive individual capable of establishing strong collaborations across multiple teams. The successful candidate will thrive in fast-paced settings, demonstrate problem-solving capabilities, and maintain a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in maintenance planning or asset management scheduling roles.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Effective communicator with aptitude for stakeholder engagement across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and dedication to safety and continuous improvement.

Desirable Attributes

  • Trade qualifications, an engineering degree, or tertiary education in related fields.
  • Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, mining, sugar production, or processing environments.
  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Advanced skills with SAP, Power BI, or data analytics aiding maintenance decisions.
  • Experience with planning large shutdowns, capital projects, or contractor-based maintenance tasks.
