About the Organization

Offenso Hackers Academy is a cybersecurity training institute based in Kerala, known for its practical, hands-on learning model. The academy has been acknowledged by Kerala Startup Mission and has supported more than 5,000 learners worldwide. Its training portfolio includes programs such as OCSA, OCSP, and ADIS, with live simulations, capture-the-flag activities, internships, and placement assistance. As an accredited CompTIA partner, the institute focuses on preparing candidates for cybersecurity careers and has helped place students in roles such as SOC Analysts and Penetration Testers.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position in Trivandrum for a Placement Officer. The role centers on strengthening student employability, delivering soft skills and interview preparation, coordinating recruitment activities, and developing strong employer connections to improve placement outcomes.

Soft Skills and Employability Training

• Run training sessions on communication, personality development, professional behavior, and workplace readiness.
• Coach students on interview techniques, group discussions, presentation delivery, and public speaking.
• Support learners in resume writing, LinkedIn profile improvement, and practical job search methods.
• Conduct mock interviews and share detailed feedback for improvement.
• Review student progress and design individualized development plans.

Placement and Career Development

• Organize placement drives, hiring events, and employer engagement initiatives.
• Build and sustain relationships with companies and recruitment partners.
• Identify job and internship opportunities suitable for students.
• Align student profiles with employer needs and coordinate interview opportunities.
• Maintain placement data, records, and statistics accurately.
• Support candidates through the recruitment journey until onboarding is completed.

Student Mentorship

• Provide career advice and one-on-one guidance to students.
• Help students choose career paths in cybersecurity and IT.
• Conduct career readiness sessions and placement orientation programs.

Required Skills and Background

• Strong spoken and written communication ability.
• Confident presentation and training delivery skills.
• Understanding of recruitment and placement workflows.
• Capability to develop and manage corporate relationships.
• Good interpersonal and networking skills.
• Comfort with MS Office and digital collaboration tools.
• Ability to inspire, coach, and mentor students effectively.
• Experience in educational institutions, training organizations, or placement teams is preferred.
• Knowledge of IT and cybersecurity career opportunities is preferred.
• Prior exposure to soft skills or employability training is preferred.

Additional Information

The role requires a candidate who can contribute across training, placement coordination, employer outreach, and student support functions. The person selected should be comfortable working closely with learners until they secure opportunities and settle into new roles.
