Picker – Online Grocery Fulfillment

About the Role

Al-Futtaim Retail seeks dedicated Pickers to join the Marks & Spencer Food stores team across the UAE. This full-time position is perfect for individuals with backgrounds in supermarkets, warehouses, grocery retail, e-commerce fulfillment, or related retail operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately select customer grocery orders using handheld scanners or mobile technology.
• Complete order preparation within scheduled delivery deadlines.
• Confirm product quantity, size, flavor, and quality before packing.
• Prioritize urgent and routine orders to maintain service efficiency.
• Maintain high accuracy and productivity levels.
• Carefully choose fresh, frozen, chilled, bakery, and grocery items, ensuring product condition and expiration dates meet quality standards.
• Implement FIFO inventory procedures for stock handling.
• Follow company guidelines for product substitutions and promptly report unavailability or damage to supervisors.
• Securely pack orders, separating different product temperature categories to avoid damage.
• Label and prepare orders for home delivery or customer collection, verifying completeness before dispatch.
• Report stock shortages, assist with replenishment, and participate in inventory management and stock organization activities.
• Adhere to HACCP, food safety, and health and safety regulations, maintaining hygienic and organized work areas.
• Meet daily picking targets and comply with company operational procedures and standards.
• Engage in training sessions and support store operations during peak times.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience of 1 to 3 years in retail, supermarkets, warehouse, grocery stores, e-commerce, or fulfillment operations.
• Familiarity with online grocery picking and use of RF scanners or handheld devices is advantageous.
• Understanding of food safety standards and proper handling practices.
• Competent communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Physically able to stand, lift, walk, and bend for extended periods.
