Job description

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Physiotherapist or Senior Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation team at St Luke's ElderCare. In this position, you will be instrumental in helping clients regain mobility, function, and independence through comprehensive assessments, personalized treatments, and manual therapy interventions. The role includes ownership of client outcomes, contributing to staff development, and maintaining operational excellence within the rehabilitation department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional physiotherapy services including initial client assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing reviews for designated caseloads.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams by participating in multi-disciplinary meetings, communicating treatment plans, and providing education to caregivers.
  • Supervise and support Therapy Assistants, Physiotherapy Assistants, caregivers, interns, and other staff involved in therapy delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health audits, quality assurance guidelines, Workplace Safety and Health protocols, and maintain accurate records of client outcomes.
  • Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation centre including client scheduling, staff deployment, equipment management, and facility upkeep.
  • Engage in Quality Improvement Projects, research activities, and assist in developing new rehabilitation programs and initiatives.
  • Organize and take part in community outreach initiatives, educational talks, and training sessions for both internal teams and external audiences.
  • Support ongoing staff competency development by facilitating required training, certifications, and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess a Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Hold full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council, including a valid certificate of practice.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork capabilities along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and efficiently manage time under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is required.
