Role and Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures for both undergraduate and postgraduate Physiology courses aligned with the National Medical Commission (NMC) curriculum.
- Convene practical classes, demonstrations, tutorials, and small-group teaching sessions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to MBBS and postgraduate students in academics, research pursuits, and skill enhancement.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching aids, examination question papers, and evaluation methods.
- Assess student performance through internal tests, practical examinations, and oral (viva) assessments.
- Take part in curriculum design, departmental discussions, and other academic initiatives.
- Engage actively in research, publications, continuing medical education (CME) programs, workshops, and academic conferences.
- Maintain comprehensive departmental documentation and ensure adherence to NMC and institutional protocols.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Possess MD, MS, or DNB qualification in Physiology, compliant with NMC eligibility criteria.
- Prior teaching experience in a recognized Medical College is desirable.
- Strong foundational knowledge in Physiology coupled with excellent instructional and communication capabilities.
- Skills in employing innovative, interactive teaching techniques to captivate students.
- Passion for academic research and scholarly publications.
- Awareness of competency-based medical education (CBME) frameworks and NMC regulations.
- Collaborative team spirit accompanied by organizational and interpersonal proficiencies.
- Dedication to academic excellence, ethical standards, and lifelong professional learning.
