Role Overview

The Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for crafting and improving educational curricula that align with learning goals and integrate smoothly into game-based learning environments. This full-time remote position requires the development of comprehensive curricula, lesson plans, and the mapping of learning outcomes to in-game activities across multiple subjects and learner levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to develop curriculum aligned with educational objectives.
  • Conduct research on best practices in education and instructional design to inform curriculum development.
  • Create clear, age-appropriate learning materials ensuring academic precision and compliance with standards.
  • Adapt instructional content based on feedback and data relating to user engagement.
  • Document guidelines and support materials for educators utilizing Kooblo’s platforms.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in curriculum development and education to create standard-aligned, age-suitable learning experiences.
  • Proficiency in instructional design for structuring content, assessments, and activities within game-based formats.
  • Excellent research and writing abilities to produce concise and appealing educational content supported by evidence-based methodologies.
  • Background experience in K–12 or higher education with knowledge of learning outcomes and assessment techniques.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with distributed teams of educators, designers, and developers.
  • Familiarity with digital learning technologies, tools, and basic data analysis related to learner engagement and outcomes.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Prior experience developing game-based or interactive educational resources is considered a significant plus.
