Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physician in Training specializing in Medical Hygiene to join the clinical infectious diseases and hygiene department at Schwarzwald-Baar Klinikum, located in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany. Positions are available for both full-time and part-time engagements, with the option to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hygiene team comprising six specialized hygiene professionals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene standards ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Collaborate closely with hygiene officers among physicians and nursing staff across 25 specialty clinics at both hospital sites, as well as with medical hygiene experts provided by our service partner.
- Contribute to the planning and development of annual hygiene department focal points.
- Maintain statistical records and collect data to track nosocomial infections (KISS system).
- Participate actively in the hygiene commission and oversee the enforcement of its resolutions.
- Coordinate cooperation efforts with the local health department.
Requirements
- Medical specialist qualification in any field; ideally completed additional training in Medical Hygiene/Infection Control according to the medical training regulations (WBO).
- Alternatively, a strong willingness to pursue the additional qualification in Medical Hygiene along with a passion for this specialty.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Determination, assertiveness, commitment, teamwork, and strategic mindset.
- Skills in planning, organizing, as well as experience in moderation and presentations.
