Photo Specialist

Job Overview

This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service through expert photo and digital passport photo services, alongside supporting various customer transactions such as FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillment. The specialist is responsible for managing the photo department’s inventory, maintaining operational readiness, and ensuring the availability of products and services to fulfill customer demands. Additionally, the role involves merchandising support and teamwork to maintain a safe, clean, and customer-oriented environment that meets operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage customers warmly at the photo counter while identifying their needs to offer personalized photo products and services.
• Demonstrate and promote customer-focused service behaviors among team members to ensure consistently positive customer experiences.
• Provide courteous, efficient service including digital passport photo options and promote related photo merchandise.
• Suggest relevant products, upgrades, and complementary items to maximize sales.
• Handle customer transactions efficiently and accurately, including sales, returns, and exchanges, while following cash handling policies.
• Maintain inventory and supplies for the photo department, aligning stock levels with forecasted demand to ensure product availability.
• Process and complete photo and online order pickups with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support auxiliary services like FedEx and Western Union, ensuring all policies and guidelines are followed.
• Troubleshoot and maintain photo equipment and utilize store systems to facilitate day-to-day operations.
• Keep the photo department orderly, safe, and well-merchandised, enhancing the overall store appearance.
• Assist in merchandising efforts for photo and adjacent departments through display upkeep, promotional setups, inventory tasks, and seasonal resets.
• Help cross-train other store team members on photo department duties to maintain coverage during absences.
• Adhere to company policies, safety, asset protection, and regulatory compliance for a secure workplace.
• Collaborate well with colleagues, maintain respectful relationships, and perform additional tasks as needed to achieve business goals.
• Complete all training and e-learning modules as assigned by management or corporate.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English reading, writing, and speaking is essential (except Puerto Rico).
• Flexibility to work varying schedules including evenings and weekends is required.
• Preferred: At least six months of retail experience and prior work history with Walgreens.
