Pharmacy Technician - Neilstown

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the team at Hickey's Neilstown Pharmacy. This is a permanent part-time role with 8-hour shifts aligning with store hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The pharmacy is closed on Sundays.

Team Structure

The current team includes a Supervising Pharmacist, Retail Store Manager, three Technicians, and one Sales Assistant. The store handles a manageable range of items and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high accuracy and strong attention to detail in all tasks.
• Prepare and dispense medicinal products under the pharmacist's supervision with professionalism and care.
• Manage stock levels, including ordering medicines as required for the store.
• Prepare blister packs and handle processing and tracking of claims efficiently.
• Provide support to the pharmacist in a busy dispensary environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in a busy dispensary is preferred; however, recently qualified technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with McLernons MPS software is advantageous.
• Completion of the IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is beneficial.
