Job description
Position Overview
We are in search of a Pharmacy Technician to enhance our team at Hickey's Old County location in Crumlin, Dublin 12. This opportunity is for a full-time permanent role encompassing 40 working hours per week.
The store operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and remains closed on Sundays.
The existing team includes a Managing Pharmacist, two Support Pharmacists, one Relief Pharmacist, four Technicians, and three Healthcare Advisors. The store maintains manageable inventory and service levels.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain precision with strong attention to detail in all tasks.
- Prepare and dispense medications under the guidance of the Pharmacist, ensuring professional and compassionate service.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock quantities and placing orders based on store needs.
- Create blister packs and manage related claims and tracking efficiently.
- Support and report to the Pharmacist within the fast-paced dispensary environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in a busy dispensary setting is preferred but not mandatory, welcoming even newly qualified Pharmacy Technicians.
- Familiarity with McLernons MPS software is advantageous.
- Completion of IPU Pharmacy Technician course or a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is considered a benefit.
