Position Overview
We seek a proactive and personable Pest Control Technician to manage a residential route, build relationships with customers, and address pest issues efficiently. This role involves traveling in a company vehicle to client homes, administering pest treatments on schedule, and maintaining clear communication with customers, management, and office staff.
Compensation and Schedule
Technicians receive hourly pay during their probationary phase, transitioning to a fixed salary plus a portion of production earnings, along with eligibility for sales commissions, bonuses, and tips. The work schedule operates on a rotating four-day workweek, Monday through Saturday, between 7 AM and 6 PM.
Key Duties
- Travel by company vehicle to residential properties to diagnose and treat various pest concerns using appropriate products and methods.
- Interact professionally with customers to explain service details, contracts, billing, warranties, and pest issues clearly and tactfully.
- Complete required paperwork accurately for each service visit.
- Monitor daily appointments through calendar management to prepare for upcoming jobs effectively.
- Ensure proper maintenance of work equipment and assigned company vehicle.
- Maintain open communication lines with administrative and managerial staff routinely.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A friendly, positive demeanor and eagerness to engage with customers and learn.
- Interest in acquiring knowledge about pest control methods and common local pests in Alabama.
- Background in customer service, pest control, sales, or home services is advantageous but not required.
