Job description
Role Overview
This position is for a Personal Banker at YES BANK in Ratangarh, Madhya Pradesh. The role is centered on delivering smooth customer service across account opening, transactions, branch service quality, compliance, and day-to-day operational support at the branch.
Account Opening and Maintenance
- Manage the full account lifecycle, including opening, servicing, and closing accounts in line with the bank’s procedures.
- Support customers with queries and instructions while maintaining the service standards expected by the bank.
- Check account-opening paperwork thoroughly and ensure the documentation needed for new accounts is complete and correctly processed.
- Follow the required procedures for forms, checklists, welcome calls, approvals, and similar documentation controls.
- Coordinate closely with NOC, Product, Sales RMs, and other relevant teams whenever support is needed.
- Keep a careful watch on the accuracy and completeness of all forms and documents submitted.
- Follow up promptly with Sales RMs across business units to clear any pending deferrals.
Transactions
- Review customer-submitted transaction documents against the branch checklist to confirm that all required papers are in place.
- Handle and resolve customer questions related to transactions.
- Track transactions closely to ensure they are processed appropriately.
Service and Quality
- Maintain proper records and data related to customer complaints and queries, and analyze them to improve efficiency.
- Monitor relevant reports and data on a daily and weekly basis to support customer service and process compliance.
- Work with relationship managers and connect periodically with important clients to assess service quality and satisfaction.
- Ensure CSS forms are collected on schedule and forwarded to NOC.
- Support implementation of 5S, ISO 9001:2000, and Six Sigma practices while meeting quality benchmarks.
Audit and Compliance
- Adhere to all processes and policies to support the branch’s audit performance.
- Maintain full compliance with internal, regulatory, and statutory requirements for branch products and services.
- Respond to audit observations and close them without delay wherever applicable.
Other Expectations
- Maintain strong discipline at work, including punctuality, attendance, and grooming standards.
- Escalate business-impacting issues in a timely manner and share possible solutions with the BSDL.
- Manage relationships with local vendors and agencies to keep transactions running smoothly.
- Oversee branch upkeep and maintenance while keeping costs under control.
- Set yearly performance goals with the reporting manager and track progress throughout the year.
- Own personal development by identifying learning needs and working on them through methods beyond formal training.
- Build and apply role-relevant competencies and stay updated on professional and industry developments through ongoing learning and networks.
- Follow risk policies and procedures to reduce operational, regulatory, financial, information, reputational, and audit risks.
- Carry out internal control requirements and prepare information needed for departmental audits when required.
