Role overview
This organization is hiring a People Operations Specialist for a temporary contract assignment of 6+ months, with a possible path to a permanent role. The position is based onsite in New York, NY, and pays $35 to $42 per hour depending on experience.
What the role covers
The selected professional will handle core HR operations, respond to employee needs, coordinate onboarding, and support Workday administration. The role works closely with global People Operations teams to help create a smooth experience for employees across a distributed workforce.
Experience and system knowledge
Candidates should bring hands-on Workday expertise, especially in managing employee changes and maintaining HRIS records. Prior exposure to HR operations or people operations work is important, along with familiarity with ticketing tools and employee support processes.
Key qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in People Operations or HR Operations.
- Strong working knowledge of Workday, including employee transactions and HRIS data management.
- Background in supporting onboarding and other employee lifecycle activities.
- Experience using ticketing platforms and structured employee support workflows.
Additional notes
This is a temporary contract role with an expected duration of more than 6 months. There is a possibility that the assignment could convert to a permanent position.
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this assignment is $35 to $42, based on relevant experience.
