People Operations Specialist

Role overview

This contract opportunity is for a People Operations Specialist supporting a SaaS organization for an estimated 6 months, with a chance to continue beyond the initial term. The role is fully remote, with a preference for candidates working in EST or CST time zones. Compensation is set at $35 to $45 per hour.

What the role supports

You will help run core HR operations and employee support activities, including onboarding coordination, employee lifecycle handling, and administration within Workday. The position works closely with global People Operations teams to help create a smooth experience for employees across a distributed workforce.

Core focus areas

• Handle day-to-day People Operations and HR operations tasks.
• Support employees through service requests and issue resolution.
• Coordinate onboarding activities and related workflow steps.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and complete employee transactions in Workday.
• Work with international People Operations partners to support a global employee base.

Required background

Applicants should bring at least 2 years of experience in People Operations or HR Operations. Hands-on Workday experience is important, especially for employee transactions and HRIS data management. Prior exposure to onboarding and employee lifecycle processes, along with ticketing systems and support workflows, is also needed.
