About the Role

As a People Greeter at Walmart Canada, you serve as the friendly face welcoming customers, ensuring an inviting atmosphere while supporting sales floor activities. Your positive interaction fosters customer satisfaction and loyalty, embodying Walmart’s core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer prompt, courteous, and professional greetings and assistance to all customers entering and leaving the store, creating strong first and last impressions.
• Support store safety and loss prevention by tagging returned items, monitoring significant purchases like electronics, verifying receipts when necessary, and alerting management or Loss Prevention of suspicious behavior. Respond effectively to Code ADAM alerts following company protocols.
• Attend to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms tactfully, identify causes for alarm triggers, maintain accurate incident records, and report any system malfunctions.
• Provide shopping support by supplying customers with baskets, carts, and flyers, directing them to products or services, and collaborating with sales associates to fulfill customer needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment by consistently adhering to company safety policies.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, accommodating business requirements.

Challenges of the Role

• Manage a demanding, fast-paced workload efficiently, including overnight shifts requiring sustained focus and energy.
• Handle extensive restocking and store recovery tasks accurately and promptly.
• Perform physical duties such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs, as well as repetitive activities like stocking and product organization.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.40 per hour.
