Role Summary

The People & Culture Coordinator – Engagement & Operations supports the People & Culture team by handling daily HR operations and helping deliver a smooth employee journey throughout the full lifecycle. The position covers onboarding, employee records, HR systems, administrative support, and policy compliance, while also driving engagement, wellness, recognition, and internal events that strengthen workplace culture. The role also acts as a key contact for employee questions, supports department leaders on HR matters, keeps records accurate, and contributes to ongoing process improvement in line with hotel objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to People & Culture operations and ensure HR administration runs efficiently.
  • Plan and coordinate employee engagement, wellness, recognition, and internal event activities to improve the colleague experience.
  • Act as the first contact for employee questions and share guidance on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Help organize employee celebrations, town halls, and internal People & Culture campaigns.
  • Manage the complete onboarding workflow from start to finish.
  • Keep employee files, HR records, and HRIS data accurate, secure, and compliant.
  • Draft employment letters, certificates, and other HR-related correspondence.
  • Track employee documentation to support compliance with company rules and local labor requirements.
  • Create HR reports, update trackers, and assist with audits through well-organized documentation.
  • Support the rollout of People & Culture policies, procedures, and operational improvements.
  • Work with department leaders to support HR initiatives and address employee-related issues.
  • Help build an inclusive, positive, and well-communicated workplace culture.
  • Take on additional duties as needed to support the department and business goals.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources, People & Culture, or a comparable role, ideally in hospitality.
  • Solid understanding of HR operations, employee engagement, and standard HR practices.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS tools and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A creative approach to designing engagement initiatives, events, and internal communication activities.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Good organization and time management abilities, with the flexibility to handle several priorities at once.
  • A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Careful attention to detail, along with strong administrative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
  • Understanding of local labor laws and employment regulations will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are beneficial.
