Role Overview
The People & Culture Coordinator supports employee relations and fosters a positive work environment. This role demands enthusiasm for service, creativity, strong organizational skills, and being a motivating ambassador for inclusion and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a friendly, accessible first contact for employees and candidates.
- Support event planning and execution for employee celebrations and onboarding activities.
- Manage the employee Recognition Program and related communications.
- Create and share engaging employee newsletters, flyers, and updates; maintain bulletin boards and digital platforms.
- Collaborate on initiatives like Employee of the Month to appreciate team members.
- Assist throughout the recruitment cycle including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, offer management, and new hire paperwork.
- Handle background checks, E-Verify processes, and ensure legal compliance.
- Coordinate first-day onboarding activities and keep managers updated on introductory reviews.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and communicate updates on medical, dental, vision, 401k, and other plans.
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS (Workday) and perform general administrative tasks.
- Respond to employee inquiries confidentially regarding employment, benefits, and policies.
- Generate reports and conduct audits to verify data accuracy.
- Maintain professionalism, organization, and confidentiality at all times.
- Promote positive working relationships and demonstrate initiative in solving workplace challenges.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle competing priorities.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High professionalism with discretion and confidentiality.
- Basic knowledge of HR-related federal and state regulations.
- Experience or familiarity with HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
- Passion for employee engagement and cultivating an inclusive workplace.
- Detail-oriented, effective in a fast-paced environment, and adept at delivering timely results.
- Preferably at least one year of experience in an administrative role.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Canva, and Workday is advantageous.

Work Schedule
