Job description

About the role

Vantage is looking for a proactive and detail-focused People & Culture Coordinator to join the Sydney CBD team. This position supports the employee journey from start to finish and has an important role in building a strong workplace culture, improving employee experience, and helping the organisation run effectively.

You will work across a broad mix of People & Culture activities, including engagement initiatives, support for benefits programs, coordination of performance review cycles, KPI monitoring, onboarding, internal communications, and improvement projects. Partnering with the P&C team and business stakeholders, you will help deliver a consistent and high-quality experience for employees while supporting the ongoing development of people practices and culture.

This opportunity is well suited to an HR professional with 2–3 years of experience who wants to develop further across both operational HR and employee experience design.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and roll out employee engagement, wellbeing, and culture activities that help create a positive and connected workplace.
  • Organise company events, recognition initiatives, team-building activities, and wider employee experience programs.
  • Write and manage engaging content for internal channels to promote benefits, wellbeing offerings, and People & Culture initiatives.
  • Build internal communications and campaign materials that improve awareness, participation, and belonging across the business.
  • Collect employee feedback and insights to uncover opportunities to improve the workplace experience and culture.
  • Promote company values and support initiatives that encourage collaboration, inclusion, and high performance.
  • Administer and communicate employee benefits programs.
  • Regularly review benefits and wellbeing offerings, and suggest improvements based on employee feedback and market trends.
  • Coordinate employee experience programs so they are delivered consistently and effectively across the organisation.
  • Track how benefits and engagement initiatives are being used and how effective they are.
  • Support and coordinate performance review activities throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Assist managers and employees in applying performance management practices effectively.
  • Keep performance documentation accurate and maintain reporting and process controls.
  • Identify ways to strengthen development and performance management frameworks.
  • Contribute to programs that build employee capability, growth, and overall organisational performance.
  • Manage onboarding to ensure a positive and consistent experience for new hires.
  • Coordinate mandatory training, compliance learning, and broader development programs.
  • Maintain onboarding content, learning pathways, and internal knowledge resources.
  • Monitor completion of training and participation in learning activities across the company.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and strong HRIS data quality.
  • Prepare regular HR reports and metrics covering headcount, turnover, engagement, training, and performance.
  • Look for opportunities to improve People & Culture processes, systems, and the employee experience.
  • Coordinate and deliver People & Culture projects while keeping milestones and objectives on track.
  • Support organisational improvement efforts through data review, employee feedback, and practical process recommendations.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in People & Culture, Human Resources, People Operations, or a similar field.
  • Prior experience supporting employee engagement, culture, wellbeing, or employee experience initiatives is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organisation and project coordination skills, with the ability to handle several priorities at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A relationship-focused approach and an interest in creating positive employee experiences.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
  • Mandarin language skills are an advantage.
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or otherwise hold full working rights in Australia.

Why join us

  • This is a broader opportunity than a standard HR role, giving you the chance to influence how employees experience work each day.
  • You will be able to bring ideas to life through culture initiatives, employee events, wellbeing programs, and benefits campaigns that have a real impact.
  • The role offers ownership, project exposure, and the opportunity to help build a workplace where people feel connected, appreciated, and inspired.
  • You’ll gain practical experience across employee experience, culture, performance, benefits, and people projects while advancing your career.
  • A competitive salary package, annual discretionary bonus, and employee benefits are included to support wellbeing and professional development.
