Job description

Role overview

This fixed-term position runs for 12 months and sits at the centre of Beca’s People & Culture operations transformation. The role focuses on strengthening the value delivered by HR systems and services after the successful rollout of Workday, with a strong emphasis on operational insight, continuous improvement, and practical problem-solving.

You will act as a connector between People & Culture and wider business teams, converting business questions and operational needs into clear process and system improvements. The work requires a strong analytical mindset, an ability to uncover the real issue behind a request, and a focus on solutions that align with good practice and support the way employees and stakeholders work.

A key part of the job is recording decisions, mapping end-to-end HR processes, and working closely with stakeholders to make sure any changes are designed thoughtfully and governed well. You will also support simplification initiatives, knowledge management, and service enhancement efforts, while leading requirements gathering and turning stakeholder needs into precise, testable specifications.

Where needed, you will create clear training support material to help users adopt changes confidently and successfully.

About you

You are a business analyst with hands-on experience working with systems and the technical confidence to connect strategic goals with detailed operational requirements. You are comfortable simplifying complexity and using training and support materials to drive adoption and realise value from HR technology.

You are motivated by improvement, enjoy working with modern People & Culture tools, and prefer solutions that are practical and user-focused. You are naturally curious, build strong working relationships, question assumptions in a constructive way, and help teams reach well-reasoned outcomes.

Key focus areas

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, or supporting guidance, then work with the appropriate teams to implement solutions.
  • Apply strong analytical thinking to real operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to test assumptions and refine processes.
  • Balance detailed case and policy considerations with broader service and process improvements.
  • Use AI in day-to-day business analyst activities and show evidence of that practical application.

What Beca offers

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • A caring and supportive workplace where you can show up as yourself.
  • Relocation and immigration support for suitable candidates.
  • Flexible work options that help you manage personal and family commitments.
  • Exposure to industry specialists and technical experts across the Asia Pacific region.
  • A collaborative environment with strong knowledge sharing and support.
