About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable Pensions Specialist who thrives on tackling complex pension issues and enhancing existing processes. This position offers the chance to own your pension domain expertise while supporting dedicated employees. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complicated pension inquiries and ensure high-quality, compliant pension casework within designated deadlines.
  • Carry out detailed pension and payroll calculations, performing thorough quality checks to maintain accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  • Serve as a technical authority by providing guidance, support, and training to team members.
  • Analyze pension-related data, maintain records, and generate reports that support informed decision-making and foster data integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with pension, payroll, and client stakeholders to support the successful delivery of related projects.
  • Deliver technical briefings, updates, and insightful recommendations to various stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in pension administration.
  • Competent in performing complex pension calculations with precision.
  • In-depth understanding of pension legislation and its practical implications.
  • Ability to communicate intricate technical concepts in an accessible manner to those without specialist knowledge.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the capacity to interpret and work with complex data sets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Familiarity with Police Pension Schemes or Civil Service Pension Schemes.
  • Background in payroll processing.
  • Holds professional qualifications related to pensions or payroll.
  • Knowledge of transaction workflows within integrated HR and payroll systems.

Additional Details

This is a permanent, full-time position based remotely anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel required to offices in London, Newport, or Newcastle for meetings or training. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain NPPV2 security clearance.

The salary offered is up to £34,000 annually, complemented by 25 days of annual leave with the option to purchase more, a health cash plan, life assurance, and pension benefits. Flexible working arrangements are supported to promote work-life balance and accommodate different needs.
