Payroll Specialist

About the Role

As a Payroll Specialist at HomeServe Deutschland based in Frankfurt am Main, you will be an integral member of the central People team, responsible for the accurate and timely payroll processing for 24 craft businesses. The role offers a dynamic environment with multiple companies and employee groups, where you will also have the opportunity to optimize and standardize payroll processes and enhance the payroll function's professionalism.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure punctual and precise payroll calculation and payment across multiple craft enterprises.
• Manage payroll matters centrally for various companies, handling complex organizational structures with ease.
• Maintain and audit employee master data and time tracking information within HR and time management systems.
• Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll, social security, and tax issues.
• Communicate professionally with external bodies including health insurance providers, social security institutions, authorities, and tax offices.
• Support payroll audits and reviews, including coordination of income tax and social security checks and account reconciliations.
• Identify and implement payroll process improvements and contribute to establishing standardized procedures across companies.
• Assist with projects such as implementing new payroll systems, processes, and digital transformation initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Meticulous and organized work habits, with the ability to manage complex scenarios effectively.
• Enjoys evaluating and improving existing procedures.
• Completed commercial training with further education in payroll, human resources, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in payroll administration.
• Solid knowledge of tax law, social security, and labor law.
• Experience managing payroll for multiple companies or locations is advantageous.
• Proficient in payroll software, preferably Datev Lodas, and skilled in Excel.
• High standards for quality, discretion, and reliability.
• Independent, structured work approach coupled with strong customer service orientation.
• Passionate about driving process enhancements and change management.
