Job description

About the Company

An established consulting environment is looking to add support in payroll as soon as possible. The role centers on end-to-end handling of national client matters and contributing to modern, trust-based working structures. The company is based in Frankfurt am Main.

Role Overview

This position involves independently managing payroll processes for a dedicated portfolio of domestic clients, while also acting as a knowledgeable point of contact for all payroll, tax, and social security matters. You will work closely with external authorities, support audits, and contribute to payroll-related controlling and reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly payroll calculations on your own for a fixed client base with a German focus.
  • Advise clients on all issues related to payroll accounting, wage tax, and social insurance.
  • Liaise with public authorities and institutions, especially tax offices, social security providers, and employers’ liability insurance associations.
  • Support wage tax and social security audits from start to finish.
  • Carry out controlling activities such as forecasts, compensation tables, cost allocations, and posting lists.
  • Determine employee-related accruals in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
  • Serve as a contact person for auditors regarding compensation structures.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed commercial or tax-related vocational training, ideally supplemented by relevant further qualifications.
  • Professional experience in payroll and salary accounting is desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of income tax, wage tax, and social insurance law.
  • Confident user of DATEV, especially LODAS, as well as MS Office.
  • Strong service mindset and enjoyment of working with clients and within a team.
  • Organized, careful, and independent way of working.
  • Interest in innovative topics and a willingness to keep developing professionally.
