Role overview

You will take ownership of payroll operations across multiple pay cycles, ensuring every run is accurate, compliant, and completed on time. The role suits someone who is comfortable working independently in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

  • Apply relevant awards and payroll legislation, including SCHADS.
  • Pull payroll information from connected systems, check it carefully, and load it accurately.
  • Complete reconciliations and assist with reporting and compliance obligations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for payroll-related questions and manage expectations with internal stakeholders.

Candidate profile

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Solid knowledge of SCHADS Award requirements and broader payroll compliance.
  • Experience in not-for-profit or other complex workforce settings is preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Confident communicator who can handle stakeholders and, when needed, hold firm on payroll matters.
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced payroll environment.

Benefits

  • Enjoy a four-day work week with flexibility built in.
  • Take full ownership of a standalone payroll function.
  • Access free on-site parking.
